DigitalOcean is a popular VPS provider at very low price. Their plans starts from just $5/month. They offer SSD Disk, KVM Virtualization and lots of bandwidth. Here is my review of their 4GB VPS.

Disk I/O test
This is hard disk speed test that the server can read and write a 1GB file. Higher score is better.

Result: 495 MB/s Not very good but satisfactory result.
Bandwidth Test
The speed at which a 100MB file can be downloaded from the CacheFly CDN edge location. Higher score is better.

Cons of DigitalOcean VPS
- Un-managed. No managed option.
- Limited to 1 IP per VPS. No option to add extra IP
- No free backup. You need to purchase backup
Conclusion
DigitalOcean seems to be a very good choice for un-managed VPS. They have good network, offer SSD disk, KVM virtualization. The overall test result is good and I will recommend DigitalOcean VPS.
